Creating a Ritual to Get Your Writing Juices Flowing

Creating a Ritual to Get Your  Writing Juices Flowing I get it, some days it's hard to commit to the grind of writing. So I am creating this post to help you create a ritual around your writing time. This ritual will help with creating consistency in your writing, and make the process more enjoyable.  💠💠💠 1. Clean up the area you plan to write in. This helps to quiet your mind and help you focus. 2. Set up your area. I don't have an office but if you do, that awesome too. I use the kitchen counter. I grab my laptop or I use my phone with my nostalgic typewriter keyboard. 3. Grab your drink of choice . I use the quiet hours in the evening to write, so I like hot cider or tea.  4. Light a candle or incense. This relaxes and helps to center my nerves.  5. Say a Gratitude Affirmation such as: "Thank you God/Universe for giving me inspiration on my writing project this evening, I am now ready to write." Let me know if you use these little things in your writin...

Creating moments of happiness.

Most people either unconscientious or conscientiously are searching for happiness in their life. But the truth from my own experience is you won't find it outside yourself. No person, thing or situation can make you happy for long. And lasting happiness is a myth . Because life is about the experience of all emotions. Without pain or sadness, or even just melancholy, you wouldn't know what happiness feels like. But the great thing is you can create more happiness in your life. There is an effort on your part, it won't just randomly be on your doorstep( or will it? ). But it is possible to create these moments of happiness. Before I share my own ways that may help you find joy in your life. I would like to talk about a universal law that most are not familiar with. This is the law of the pendulum . Which I think is an important law that most don't explain. Imagine a pendulum moving back and forth, one side is happiness and the other is sadness. The center is bal...

Things that I use to help master my life. Oh and you can do the same!

Well, it's 2018 now and you know this year is gonna be a good one. But you've been saying that about the last few years. You may feel like you just can't get it together. And I have those moments myself. So how do you pull yourself out of a rut and get in gear? Here is my list of things that will set you up for success. Making goals for the year. Pretty basic I know but this is key to accomplishing anything. I have way too many goals but hey that's just how I work.  What are your goals? Write them down. In fact, do it at this moment, and then continue to read this when you have finished.  Now that you know what your goals are making a vision board to really instill them in your mind. Here is a post I did a few weeks back to help you create one.  Vision Board Use your calendar on your computer to set up your schedule. This is important because if you don't have it planned its easy to say "I will do it tomorrow." So go set up your schedule w...

Tips for creating a vision board for 2018

Tips for creating a vision board for 2018 Well, we are now into the new year of 2018. I am super excited about this year and the goals I plan to crush this year!! I have been thinking long and hard about creating a vision board. So I decided I would create it with you and share my tips as I go 😁! Plus it's a great way to send out to the universe what you want to create in your life.  First, let's get our pictures sorted away so it is easy to lay it all out..... Best to turn on some upbeat music to get you in the groove!! I got the magazines around the house to start using. Cause let's be honest there is a one time adventure of looking at them and then they hide away forever.  Ok so you got everything from your magazines cut out, but maybe you have a few pics you need but there isn't any pics in the mags you got. Not to worry we can do some image searches on google and print those bad boys out.  Now its almost there, but let us add a ...

2017 female DIY Christmas gifts

This year I decided to make my Xmas gifts. They feel more personal that way!! I don't have a big family so it is very easy to whip up a few things and be done with everyone on my list. I still have my husband's gift to put together, but I still have time for that. Whereas the others they have to go through the mailing system. And this time of year it can be a nightmare getting your package.   My first gift to the lovely ladies in my family I made these wonderfully crocheted headbands to keep your ears warm. I had unused yarn in my closet because I had gotten too much when I made my husband his scarf for his birthday. I think it's clever to use the craft material you already have when deciding what to make for gifts. I used this tutorial( crochet headband tutorial )up to where she wanted to make the stitch more difficult, but I didn't have time to get flustered by using a new stitch. So I just used the one stitch all the way t...

My most effective/favorite weight loss tips!!!

This year has been a lot of change for me. One of the biggest being my lifestyle habits. I stopped going out to pubs much, and my drinking is to a very minimum(stopped completely for 3-4 months at a time, now I drink maybe once a month, and only consist of 3-4 drinks). I worked on fixing the liver problems I created from 10 years of heavy drinking. I believe in order to lose weight, you must fix any existing issues your body is currently going through. You body is a complete system made up of every complex organs and little systems. If one is out of wack the whole system will not work properly. Sure you could lose weight but it won't be a lasting weight loss and you may end up sick from malnutrition. *Disclaimer- I am not a certified nutritionist, use these tips at your own risk So tip number 1 is to start feeding your body healing foods and get rid of things such as alcohol or sugar that creates havoc in your body. Plus being aware of the so called health foods. B...

Arbonne RE9 advanced anti-aging skin care line- my HONEST opinion

Well its been over a month of trying this skin care line and I am here to show you the results. A friend sells Arbonne and asked if I would like to try it out. Its a vegan friendly product, so thought it couldn't hurt to try. After looking at the ingredients, some are not natural or ethical. Such as mica and Propanediol. When I was looking into those ingredients its quite frightening. I am a big believer in the most holistic approach. A lot of products these days do more damage then good. So why not use natural ingredients you can find in your kitchen? Plus beauty and reversing aging needs to start with a high functional body. From the inside out. Not the other way around. One thing I did like about doing this regime was the new habit I created by washing my face daily. Which I will continue to carry out. But with completely natural ingredients. My BEFORE picture: As you can see there is redness on my cheeks, some little lines under my eyes and black h...

OMG There is a Lump(Lipomas) on my Dog!! The Problem and finding a Solution.

I'd like to introduce to you my wonderful furry friend and forever baby, Winchester. If your a close friend you've probably already met him. I call him Win, Winny, Winchester lee leung, hey you, Win baby, others have called him Little.... If you have a Dog or Cat in your life, they become very special to you! They become family members. And you want them to live a long, healthy life!! So a few weeks back I found a relatively small lump on Winchester's chest. About the size of a pea. I was concerned but not overly worried. I researched online for holistic remedies. A lot of articles say putting turmeric on the lump(or orally) helps with inflammation. Plus most articles give a list of what may cause this skin problem in the first place. The most common causes are: Processed human food Basic dog food(kibble) Di-worm medicine, vaccines Sugar Over Weight Spinal problems So I started putting castor oil and turmeric together on it. This seemed to initially ...
