Creating a Ritual to Get Your Writing Juices Flowing I get it, some days it's hard to commit to the grind of writing. So I am creating this post to help you create a ritual around your writing time. This ritual will help with creating consistency in your writing, and make the process more enjoyable. π π π 1. Clean up the area you plan to write in. This helps to quiet your mind and help you focus. 2. Set up your area. I don't have an office but if you do, that awesome too. I use the kitchen counter. I grab my laptop or I use my phone with my nostalgic typewriter keyboard. 3. Grab your drink of choice . I use the quiet hours in the evening to write, so I like hot cider or tea. 4. Light a candle or incense. This relaxes and helps to center my nerves. 5. Say a Gratitude Affirmation such as: "Thank you God/Universe for giving me inspiration on my writing project this evening, I am now ready to write." Let me know if you use these little things in your writin...
You're not alone!! Even though your journey may feel lonely at times. Believe me I've been there. And for whatever reason you have that has brought you to a place of solitude, there are ways to cope.
A part of me did not want to write this message because it shows that I too, do feel loneliness and regret towards the family I grew up in. Wishing things were different. But as the "blacksheep/Spawn of Satan", I have to keep up appearances that my life is great now(can you feel how great it isπ?). And for the most part, it is. Plus i'm not one who likes to dwell heavily on the past. You as a reader may feel the same way.
So how do we cope with these feelings?
I am no expert or psycho analyst. But here are some tips I use to get me through tough times.
- Take the mini spawn of Satan aka your puppy out for a walk.(JK!!! All dogs are wonderful and I love them, but its funny to write down. He's is more like an Angel with devilish tendencies.) Or if its just you, even better because then you can explore for longer bits of time.
- Exercise!! Hell nah, you might be thinking. But it really does help. Plus I get a lot of great inspiration flowing through me during that time.
- Listening to upbuilding music keeps me on a positive frequency. I use accuradio as my go to app. They have every genre you might need.
- Keep busy!! If your bored you may tend to think more, which could be a problem. Start a hobby or new project.
- Do things for the ones who are in your life, it doesn't need to be family! Showing appreciation will help you feel more fulfilled. This will in turn keep you feeling full of love. Plus you never know who else might be going through the same thing.
- Journaling/Blogging!! If this isn't an obvious one that I use, well now you knowππ. It really helps you express yourself so its not all bottled up inside.
Sorry for all the "reallys", but these are tips guys.. that I literally swear by. It isn't easy being gangsta, but remembering why your here helps too. We all have a journey, mine is to not care what others think of me. Because in order for me to grow, I can't stand in someone else's shadow, nor believe in hypocrisy. So whatever the reason maybe that is getting you down, stay strong my fellow mates.
Caffeine cheers!!

This list is so perfect! I'm away from home this holiday season and couldn't have connected to this more :) Dog-walking is certainly the best of the list and yes to blogging always. Loved this positive post <3
