Creating a Ritual to Get Your Writing Juices Flowing

Creating a Ritual to Get Your  Writing Juices Flowing I get it, some days it's hard to commit to the grind of writing. So I am creating this post to help you create a ritual around your writing time. This ritual will help with creating consistency in your writing, and make the process more enjoyable.  πŸ’ πŸ’ πŸ’  1. Clean up the area you plan to write in. This helps to quiet your mind and help you focus. 2. Set up your area. I don't have an office but if you do, that awesome too. I use the kitchen counter. I grab my laptop or I use my phone with my nostalgic typewriter keyboard. 3. Grab your drink of choice . I use the quiet hours in the evening to write, so I like hot cider or tea.  4. Light a candle or incense. This relaxes and helps to center my nerves.  5. Say a Gratitude Affirmation such as: "Thank you God/Universe for giving me inspiration on my writing project this evening, I am now ready to write." Let me know if you use these little things in your writin...

iphone apps that I use for good not evil

My iPhone apps

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!! I have been wanting to write this post for a while but with my life just putting a damper on my mind power, I haven't had the chance till now.

I think our phone is kind of like a women's purse, we carry lots of essential things. As a woman, I still find it intriguing to see what other ladies carry along(and I know most Males wonder too). And along those lines, I feel that certain apps can be essential to our lives in so many ways. So let us delve into the "unsecret" life of my iPhone.

Mundane apps I use often/not so often (besides basic social media apps like FB, Twitter, Instagram) :

  • Youtube - always good to have when far away from a computer.
  • Fitbit - only randomly look at this one.
  • Plant Nanny- I love this app because you grow a plant everytime you water it. You can only water your plant when you drink a glass of water yourself. This literally keeps me drinking water even though I tend to slack at that.

If your an Actor like me or you like to follow Actors regularly this app is for you:

  • IMDb
Uplifting/ Spiritual apps:

  • HH Radio(hayhouse radio) - This is free and a great way to listen to motivational teachers, that touch on subjects from a-zinc.
This app is like gold to me, very valuable!!

  • Moon - following the moon cycle can really show you how everything is connected to it!
  • TimePassages- a great astrological app that shows how each plant is affecting your life each day.
  • iphemeris- a more advanced astrological app for students of astrology.

Apps that I just find fun!!:

  • Design Home - if you like to do interior design this is a game that you get scored on how well you create a room.
  • Dust Buster 2 - great for playing/learning songs on your keyboard/ Piano or if you don't have one you can use the phone keyboard.
  • Canva - you can design inspirational quotes.
  • Pinterest
  • Chess 3D
Photography and Videography apps:

  • iMovie - for editing videos.
  • Layout - to put a few photos on one, which is great for Instagram.
  • PicsArt - fun for different photo techniques
  • GuruShots and AGORA - photo contest apps
Music apps:

  • AccuRadio - has a good selection of different genres
  • RockMyRun - I πŸ’–this app because you can download the station and listen to it when you don't have phone service.
I got 3 free months to this through my sweatcoin app

App for females:

  • My Calender - track your cycle. Not only great for knowing when Aunt Flo is coming but also to know how your body will react to certain physical activity.

Other Rando apps:
  • Audiobooks - this is how I used to fall asleep.
  • Tinyscanner - in case you need to change a photo to a PDF file.
  • Sweatcoin - this app tracks your steps outside and you get their currency for each step that you can trade in for prizes.

I love finding new apps that are useful!! If you have one you love, please share it in the comments!!!

Tips for creating a vision board for 2018

Tips for creating a vision board for 2018 Well, we are now into the new year of 2018. I am super excited about this year and the goals I plan to crush this year!! I have been thinking long and hard about creating a vision board. So I decided I would create it with you and share my tips as I go 😁! Plus it's a great way to send out to the universe what you want to create in your life.  First, let's get our pictures sorted away so it is easy to lay it all out..... Best to turn on some upbeat music to get you in the groove!! I got the magazines around the house to start using. Cause let's be honest there is a one time adventure of looking at them and then they hide away forever.  Ok so you got everything from your magazines cut out, but maybe you have a few pics you need but there isn't any pics in the mags you got. Not to worry we can do some image searches on google and print those bad boys out.  Now its almost there, but let us add a ...

Why its ok to quit a project/fail.

I've been meaning to write this post for a while. But life has been getting in the way. Esp when you decide to do a water fast and a juice fast lol. And quite frankly I just didn't make time to write it.πŸ˜‚ Not because I don't think its important but because its ok to procrastinate at times.  My whole life seems to be a series of rules that someone made up to keep me or you from just being your own damn self. I clearly love to defy these rules. For an instance as soon as I find a love in some type of hobby, I end up feeling compelled to put a time schedule on it(why do I do that). And make it more complicated than what it should be. Then I am like f@#k this time frame. But where did these rules come from? Is it just me creating these rules for myself? (maybe you can relate?) Or maybe it's the media that creates these rules of how perfect and successful I should be. I want to be successful but it can really zap the joy out of things. This especially can happen...

For those feeling a little less loved this holiday season

You're not alone!! Even though your journey may feel lonely at times. Believe me I've been there. And for whatever reason you have that has brought you to a place of solitude, there are ways to cope. A part of me did not want to write this message because it shows that I too, do feel loneliness and regret towards the family I grew up in. Wishing things were different. But as the "blacksheep/Spawn of Satan", I have to keep up appearances that my life is great now(can you feel how great it isπŸ˜‰?). And for the most part, it is. Plus i'm not one who likes to dwell heavily on the past. You as a reader may feel the same way. So how do we cope with these feelings? I am no expert or psycho analyst. But here are some tips I use to get me through tough times. Take the mini spawn of Satan aka your puppy out for a walk.(JK!!! All dogs are wonderful and I love them, but its funny to write down. He's is more like an Angel with devilish tendencies.) Or if its ju...
